Yeah Yeah Yeah
I know, I know. I've not updated squat in quite a while. 3 weeks now in fact. I'd like to use the excuse that I've been busy (which I have, but not really THAT busy), but the truth is I've been . . . . Uninspired.
My last entry was very draining (and very good I thought), but I've not felt the muse move me towards here to try and communicate what's been rattling around my head since then.
There also hasn't been a whole lot of new stuff rattling around my head either, which is why I'm trying to come up with something now. I'll probably discuss some of my old favorite topics like nature vs. nurture or dreams sometime soon if I can't think of anything else.
For those who check here to see what's new in the house of Hawkins, the boys are still learning and growing and trying to drive Brandi and I nuts. Marcus is doing better at speech and worse at behavior (although that is just now starting to improve as well), and Joshua is starting on solid foods. Actually, Joshua is also showing that he can get incredibly crabby if he doesn't get enough sleep (if screaming your fool head off could be classified as 'crabby').
Brandi and I continue to enjoy the curveballs life throws at you (specifically juggling doctor bills and auto repairs at the moment), and at the same time we're very grateful that we're facing these challenges together. How in the heck are single parents expected to help children grow and thrive in this environment is beyond me. I'd lose what is left of my mind. I highly recommend marrying someone smarter than you. It takes a lot of pressure off :)
